Located in the prime party central Gurgaon sector 29, BRONX is one splendid four floored pub driving the party crowd in to it’s groovy music and scurmptuous food. It comes under Open Tap hospitality which has provided us with other major pub Giants like Downtown, Manhattan and Open tap. The names and
also the ambience are well inspired from the North American culture. It uses a well planned Bar exchange concept, wherein a selected brands of alcohol are in a price loop, the most ordered one getting hiked in price whereas least ordered one being sold comparatively cheap.
Insipred with the architecture in the North American Bronx, the theme and decor is exposed brick wall and wooden ways. Wooden staircase leads one to all the 4 floors. Basement, first floor and terrace are the main party people floors whereas the the ground floor is more family oriented.
Tv and projector screens are on all the floors making sure no live match screening is missed. In addition there are bax exchange price depicting screens. Bar counters are available on each floor and are well decorated, special notice is the cememted bell light lamps.
Seating is varied, elevated, wooden with hard base as well as cushion base based , couch based and long tables. Lighting is mostly dark but lamps make it beautiful. Terrace has its own dance floor and band stand. Two smoking areas are also available which are air-conditioned and covered with sheets and jute covers in hot afternoons.
FOOD and DRINKS
Started with vodka based watermelon bramble that had basil tinge and fresh watermelon water. Ultimate refreshing and spiked well.
°Spiced Ginger mojito°
White rum and ginger ale based cocktail that had a striking flavor and evident taste of mint, ginger and lime. Another refreshing cocktail and a good order. Was spiked well, not at all dilute.
The best takeaway memory from here, very rejuvenating and refreshing drink, excellent kiwi flavor and a must try.
German Wheat – A good brew, fresh with relatively less foam and low consistency, very liquidy. Had a good flavor and 4.5% alcohol level. Not too bitter and our second favorite.
Premium Lager – Malt based fresh brew with similar foam and consistency characteristics but excellent flavor and out top favorite.
Dark Lager – Bitter and more alcoholic 5.5% and with more foam, was a fine try.
Three fresh brews well done, not wasting time and effort in making so many brews and being ace of none, well done Bronx.
°Cheesy Veg Nachos°
Amazing veg nachoes, with nicely whipped sour cream and soft spiced kidney beans, one fine cheese layer and crunchy nachos, excellent bar snack.
°Non – Veg platter °
Chicken Tikka – cheese laden well grilled tikkas, loved em.
Malai chicken Tikka – my favorite starter, cheese laden and cardamom flavor based extremely tender malai chicken Tikka , superb. The cheesiness and elaichi flavor did wonders for most items here.
Lahsuni chicken tikka – Nicely evident garlic flavor over cheese laden grilled tender chicken Tikka, really well done.
Mutton seekh kebab– kind of average with no such evident flavor.
°Veg Platter °
Paneer tikka – really well done with tandoor flavor being furnised well, soft and easily chewable. Good marination flavor as well.
Stuffed mushroom– extremely delicious, stuffed well and had a good spicy flavor. Must try.
Broccoli – the best one, cheese and cardamom topped very soft fully boiled broccoli, was an absolute delight having it. Recommended.
Dahi kebab – sweetish due to cardamom, not in line with spicy flavoring of other starters.
°Chicken Extravaganza pizza°
Delicious and cheesy pizza, bit sweet due to sweetish tomato sauce base but nicely topped with variety of chicken pieces like chunks and salamis.
°Pan roast chicken°
Bit hard to cut and chew, however the pepper corn sauce did justice to it. Sauteed veggies and mashed potatoes were done well and garlic bread was well buttered and roasted.
°Paneer makhni platter°
Served with delicious garlic naan, the succulent cramy and high consistency dal makhni won our hearts. Paneer makhni had low consistency gravy and soft cubes of paneer, also good.
Finally the dessert, the minced Jalebi stuffed in a friend roll and dipped in delicious Rabri, a good innovative try.
SERVICE and COSTING
The place is medium expensive, but a lot of work input also goes into the dishes and presentation. The service is good, our server Suraj had great knowledge of all the dishes and drinks, recommended well and took great care of us. Prompt service and courteous staff.
